Propylene production, consumption and trade balance
In 2010, Western European propylene consumption increased to 15,018 Kt, or 726 Kt (+ 5.1%) higher than in 2009.
At the same time propylene production increased up to 15,167 Kt or 737 Kt (+5.1%) higher than in 2009.
The steam cracker propylene/ethylene ratio was 54 in 2010 (same as 2009).
In 2010 imports (131 Kt) from outside Europe increased by 11%, whilst exports to outside Western Europe (248 Kt) decreased by 13%.
